Another realisation...

I was squeezing onto the mrt with SO after dinner. Smoothered in the funky smell of the neighbouring passenger... SO asked mewhile trying to avoid touching the lady standing next to him, "Don't you wish you have a car right now? We must work hard so that we can own a car. Then we can go home in comfort."

Makes sense?
Yes, but only for a moment before I realise... "Hey... if we don't work, there is no need to take the public tpt at all!"
And one can go on to argue that even if one needs to go somewhere on public tpt, he/she being unemployed, can do so at the non-peak hours. The mrt/bus is pretty comfy when not crowded.

Large part of the time, we are working hard so that we can earn more money... And of all things to spend on necessities for work such as bags, suit, shoes... It's a vicious cycle!
